KidsQuest for Preschool
In the Beginning...Growth in a Life of Faith
The preschool years are crucial for developing a child's spirtual foundation. This is when kids are most open to learning new things and have an unbelievable amount of trust in the principles taught to them. It is also during this time that parents are looking for guidance and help in their child's spiritual development. When young children are taught biblical truths, it has a direct influence on the entire family's spiritual growth. Each week, children have a Key Concept take-home page so parents can continue where KidsQuest has left off.
Spring
May These relevant stories bring Jesus to high-definition life. Kids learn how to relate to Jesus as they watch Matthew throwing a party to celebrate his friendship with Jesus, men lowering a paralyzed friend through a roof because they trust Jesus' mercy, a young boy offering his own lunch so Jesus could feed other hungry people, and disciples spending time to learn from the friend who transformed their lives -- and ours.
Summer
June During this unit, children will hear the story of creation: how God created everything in six days, including light and dark, the water and the sky, the land and plants, birds and fish, animals, and His most wonderful creation: people. On the seventh day, God rested. Each week, kids will hear the eintire story with a specific focus on a different part of creation.
July Help children glimpse how all-powerful God is as they picture Him parting the Red Sea and secretly refiling the widow's supply of flour and oil. Then they will marvel at Jesus' power to heal a leper and to feed 5,000 people from a boy's small lunch.
August Each week, children will explore a different facet of the friendship between Jesus and His disciples. They will learn that God gives us friends and can follow Jesus' example of things to do with their friends to grow their friendship and their faith.
Fall
September Through the course of year, kids will hear a sequential view of God's story from the Bible. During the first unit of the Fall Quarter, children wil learn how God takes care of His people through the stories of Creation, Adam and Eve, Abraham and Sara, and Jacob an Esau.
