Pastors and Adult Ministry

Kurt Bjorklund

Kurt was welcomed as the Senior Pastor of Orchard Hill in November 2005. He holds a B.A. in Business from Wheaton College, earned his Master of Divinity from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School and a Doctorate of Ministry from Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary. Prior to assuming the leadership of Orchard Hill Church, Kurt served for over 10 years as the Senior Pastor of a church in Michigan. Kurt, his wife, Faith, and their four sons live in Sewickley.


Rob Bohnenstengel

Rob Bohnenstengel joined the staff in 2007 as the Director of Pastoral Care. He holds a B.A. in Pastoral Ministry from Liberty University, earned his Master of Divinity with an emphasis in Counseling Ministry from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. Prior to assuming leadership as Director of Pastoral Care, Rob served most recently as Associate Pastor of Adult Ministry in Illinois.  Rob and his wife Kristi live in McCandless with their three children.


Danny Parker

As the Director of Men's Ministry, Danny has been the voice and southern drawl of men's ministry since 2000. Danny can often be seen on the off hours riding his "Big Orange" motorcycle. He spent eleven years with Young Life before attending Columbia Theological Seminary for his Masters of Divinity. Danny is the author of the Daily Devotional which is posted on the website and emailed to many. Danny and his wife, Anna, live in Bradford Woods and have two adult sons.


Brian Shivler

Brian joined the staff as Director of Ministries in 2007. With multiple entrepeneurial successes, most recently as founder and president of the Human Motion Institute, Brian combines a wide range of seasoned business expertise with his heart for ministry. Brian and his wife, Kate, have served at Orchard Hill for more than 12 years. Brian, Kate, and their two daughters, live in Wexford.


Terry Thomas

Terry serves as a part-time Teaching Pastor at Orchard Hill. On a full-time basis, Terry is Professor of Biblical Studies and the Director of the Student Ministry Program at Geneva College. A graduate of Grove City College, Terry earned his MA from Pittsburgh Theological Seminary and his PhD from the University of Pittsburgh. Terry has significant experience in campus ministry and has been involved in leadership capacities with the Coalition for Christian Outreach since 1977. Terry and his wife, Natalie, live in Beaver Falls and have two adult children and two grandchildren.


Kay Warheit

Kay joined the Orchard Hill staff in 2008 as Director of Women's Ministries after previously overseeing women's ministry in a volunteer capacity.  Kay has a heart for seeing women grow in their relationship with Christ, and enjoys providing Bible studies, special events, and classes for women.  Kay and her husband, Matt, have two adult sons and one grandson and live in Butler.
